Solar City

This is Solar City.
A place that only exists in my imagination.

The series follows the transition of this surreal place towards the disappearance of it all.
It is the fragility of our passage through the world.
The fragility of the world itself. Of the universe that surrounds us.

This is the story of colors, shapes, human existence, the world that surrounds us, and our creations, all disappearing into the unknown.

At the beginning, nature will remain because of its strength, so much more powerful than us. Even all of us together. Nature will persist, will adapt.
Until not.

Until there is nothing more there.
Until the universe is just sunrises and sunsets. Until there is only light.
Light traveling, changing.

Now, after so much time and change, there are only two colors in the whole universe, only traces of what it was. This is what remains of Solar City.

It is a metaphor for what is left of everything we thought we understood, and for the traces I leave behind as I pass through this Earth, deep inside this surreal world that I paint, that I imagine.

This is not a sad story. It is a way of perceiving existence, a way of perceiving the passage of time and the beauty hidden within disappearance and the eternal transformation of everything we know and what we do not.
